Moments in Helsinki
The photo exhibition by Nina Lindfors presents Helsinki from various perspectives and in various times of the year: a vendor knitting hats in the Kauppatori marketplace in March, busy streets with trams in the city centre, sea views in a wintry Suomenlinna and people in a festive mood on the Night of the Arts in the Esplanadi park. Artist Tove Jansson, Helsinki
Artist tove jansson (1914—2001) became internationally renowned for her moomin books and cartoons. Maria hospital
Juhani Lassander documented the everyday life of Maria Hospital IATOD and in his spare time during the years 1994-2009. His photographing continued until the operations of Maria Hospital were transferred to Haartman Hospital in autumn 2009. Young couples in love celebrating Labour Day, daredevils in a twirling carousel, market vendors behind their stands… In 1968 photographer Claire Aho participated in a Nordic photography exhibition in Kiel, Germany with her images of Helsinki. These photographs, which feature surprising compositions and offer fascinating depictions of the era, are now being exhibited in Finland for the first time.
